This metal sculpture is composed as a bifaceted work that depicts in emblematic form a wedding couple on a horse-drawn sleigh. Kompánek also elevated the scene above ground level. His visual language is characterised by maximum stylisation of the motif, whereby the silhouettes of the figures become unique symbols representing reality. The work has a distinctive colour that makes it atypical in the public space, where coloured sculptures are the exception. Kompánek’s choice of material is also unusual, as he generally worked with wood. It is the author's most monumental and expressive work in the public space and is one of the best works in the context of his entire oeuvre.
The work originally dominated the space but has become partially obscured by mature trees and cannot be viewed from all sides.
