Mosaic Fountain

Mosaic Fountain, a geometric shape with a colourful mosaic surface, is in the design of a monumental chalice.

The main sculptural material is concrete, from which the author created a raised circular platform with five square petals arranged in symmetrical formation. The mass is lightened by a coloured mosaic that decorates the entire surface area. The platform is monochromatic, yellow on top, white at the side. The petals form a colourful composition of vertically arrayed stripes, the individual lines stretching freely to diffused edges.

A water jet at the centre of the chalice sprays on to the petals and the ground. The fountain is unique for its abundance of colour and ubiquitous use of mosaic.
