Unification

Rudolf Uher / 1967 – 1969

The abstract travertine sculpture is located on a lawn in front of the glass wall of the Crematorium's ceremonial hall. It comprises a concrete plinth embedded into the ground.

The architect Milučký based the hall’s design on the idea of connecting the interior and exterior to form a symbolic path through which the soul would leave to enter the nearby forest. In his initial concept, he precisely marked the place for Rudolf Uher's work, which symbolises transition between life and death, farewell, and the universal idea of unity with nature and ancestral legacy.

The work is registered in the Central List of Monuments of the Monuments Board under number 11436/5.

Research status as of 15. 11. 2022.
