The work is sited in the middle of Michalská Street at its intersection with Sedlárska and Ventúrska streets, the focal point Korzo, Bratislava's promenade. It comprises an abstract, non-figurative composition with two main sections – a six-faced granite block supporting an irregular block of the same material. The lower block has roughly hewn side faces and a polished upper face. Two further stone slabs are incorporated into this structure, the upper of which has a large irregular shape with rough and polished surfaces and is separated by a gap from the lower granite block. A stainless steel cone embellishes one of the work’s surfaces, while another features a polished stone fragment.
The faces of the lower block bear several pieces of information. The vertical face towards Michalská Street features the carved minuscule text:
„°korzo“.
On the opposite side is an upper-case inscription commemorating the renovation of this section of the pedestrian zone:
„Bratislava
Old Town
Renovated 1997“.
A corner of the top surface bears a brass plaque with an engraved inscription in upper and lower case stating the artist’s name and the work’s title, dedication, and year of creation:
„OTO BACHORÍK
stone KORZO
artist’s gift to OLD TOWN
2003“.
