A polished stainless steel drinking fountain sits upon a cylindrical base of pale marble at centre of a low, two-tier octagonal pedestal of the same material. The fountain body comprises a cuff that connects smoothly to a semi-spherical bowl from which a saddle-shaped structure with two nozzles and drain holes rises, dividing the bowl into two parts. The cuff incorporates three technical elements and a water flow button. The work features no figurative components.
The stone of the base and pedestal combines with the stainless steel of the fountain body to produce an appealing harmony of colours and surfaces.
The work belongs among a set of three similarly designed drinking fountains that the creators – the sculptor and designer Alexander Bilkovič and the architects Andrej Botek and Andrej Petrek – in 1988 placed in Hviezdoslav Square (two works) and today's Velvet Revolution Square (one work).
